Get ready to enter the warzone!!! Space SIP 2.0: PVP Combat Mode is coming this June!!! In PVP Combat Mode, players wager their $SIP tokens against other Space Invaders to fight in the space battlefield and compete for massive PVP Leaderboard rewards.
In this article, we’ll learn how PVP works so that savvy players may craft their ways to win every battle.
1. PVP Tickets
Players need PVP tickets to join PVP battles.
PVP tickets can be bought in Space SIP Game (in-game purchases).
There are 4 types of ticket:
Free Ticket: 0 $SIP
Meteor Ticket: 500 $SIP
Supernova Ticket: 1,000 $SIP
Galaxy Ticket: 10,000 $SIP
Players can buy tickets individually or buy combo packages at a cheaper price:
10 Meteor Tickets: 4750 $SIP
10 Supernova Tickets: 9500 $SIP
10 Galaxy Tickets: 95.000 $SIP
PVP Tickets are not transferable between players.
Value of PVP tickets will affect your earning in PVP battles.
2. PVP Gameplay
Player selects 3 to 5 spaceship NFTs to form a battle fleet in PVP battle. If the fleet has NFTs of the same element, the player will receive the following bonus:
- 3 NFTs with the same element:
- 2 NFTs with the same element: Extra active skills
Player selects the ticket type they want to use in the PVP battle.
Matchmaking
- The system will match a player with another player with the Matchmaking mechanism as follows:
- The Matchmaking Rank (MMR) of each player starts from 1,000 — as a gift for Invaders first time joining PVP Combat Mode.
- For each win, player’s MMR will +5 (or +3 for battle using Free ticket); and if lost, player’s MMR will -5.
- The system will match players based on their Elo points (calculated based on MMR, number and rarity of NFTs in the fleet,…)
Gameplay:
- Before the battle starts, each player will have 30s to position the spaceships according to their own strategy.
- PvP battles are turn-based and divided into 5 rounds. Each round has a time limit.
- In each round, two players have 30s to select shooting positions and attack the enemy spaceships. The number of shots equals the number of spaceships remaining on the field of the player. Besides, players can activate skills and send stickers during this period.
- The round ends when the current player finishes shooting or the time limit expires.
- The battle ends when one of the two players destroys all spaceships of the opponent or when 5 rounds are over.
- Spaceship takes damage (minus HP) based on the following formula:
Damage = [NFT_ATK]/5 *(1-(0.0052*[Enemy_HP])/(0.9+0.0048*[Enemy_HP])+[Elemental Bonus])
Elemental bonus = 5 * (Rarity+1)/100
(Rarity N: 0, R: 1, SR: 2, SSR: 3)
- If Spaceship HP <= 0 then that Spaceship is destroyed
- The player who destroys all of the opponent’s spaceships first is the winner.
- If at the end of the battle, no one has destroyed all of the opponent’s spaceships, the player with the higher total HP will be the winner.
- If the total remaining HP is equal, the result is a draw.
That’s how a PVP match works. Make sure you understand the rules in order to design the best strategy for you.
3. PVP Leaderboard & Rank Rewards
The path of champions is always filled with fierce battles, yet it is through them that we evolve and get valuable lessons and rewards. Joining PVP Combat Mode, there are 3 types of rewards that you can earn, including:
- PVP Leaderboard rewards: valuable NFTs & $BUSD for top players
- Rank rewards: Meteors for exchanging in-game items, Stickers for using in the battles and upgrade into Ultimate Sticker NFT
- Spiritual rewards: extremely excited, interactive, and thrilling experience
