40 Questions Everyone Is Afraid To Ask — Question 4

This is question 4 in the “40 Questions Everyone Is Afraid To Ask” collection.

If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?

First of all, that is a long-winded question. In short, the answer is “not long.” I don’t often put myself down, but when the mood arises, I can put a hurtin’ on myself. If someone were to put me down like I can, then I’d imagine the friendship would be over rather quickly.

But aren’t we all like that? We are our worst critics. We know the buttons that hurt the worst and can use them on ourselves whenever we like. We pull no punches when it comes to ourselves. Even with those close to us, we know where to draw the line. But with internal conflict, there are no lines.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
