An Advice to Fresh Architecture Graduates
Rajesh Advani

I think the problem is clear in the first paragraph. It says there (1) is at-least 40% shortage in the teacher strength and (2) graduates are not able to get jobs because most firms employ a total of 3 architects.

Well, (1) COA prescribes a 1:5 teacher to student ratio — which means 2/5th of the student strength do not have a teacher and then (2) it all means there is no demand for newer architects in at the scale that is being churned out every year!

Wouldn’t it be easier to not blindly (for pure commercial interests) approve new architecture schools?
