Transforming Indian agriculture into a climate resilient production system.

The National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) is set up to address the challenges faced by the agricultural sector in India.

It has identified 10 areas that could potentially help transform agriculture.

All areas that could impact agricultural sustainability.

NMSA has opted to target only three of these areas. Waster Use Efficiency, Nutrient Management and Livelihood Diversification.

Areas targeted by NMSA.

These three broad focus areas are targeted with four program components; Rain-fed Area Development, Soil Health Management, On Farm Water Management and Climate Change and Sustainable Agriculture Modeling and Networking.

4 main program components of NMSA.

The operational guideline provided by NMSA is here. The JSfiddle/D3JS code used to generate the graphs are here.
