Creative Gaga is a Design Magazine which focuses on the artist’s work and their stories.
Gaga brings out a new edition every 3–4 months.
The Cover
The front page consists of :
- The Name of the Magazine
- Edition Number
- 3 of the works and artists featured in the magazinePrice tag
- Background is a cover by one of the artists featured in this edition “Satish Gangaiah”.
- The Spine has the name, tag line, issue no and the different generes of work featured in the magazine
Outer Cover of the magazine is a soft cover made up of a thicker paper and the binding used is perfect binding.
Magazine Content
The first few pages of the Creative Gaga is focusing on their own brand advertisement, The Featured Artists and the Contents of the book.
From this page onwards starts the artwork showcase. Featured artists have multiple artworks from a single series of work with information regarding each article. Besides the artwork Creative gaga offers brilliant stories of the featured artists alongside their artworks.
The Grid
It seems like the whole book is based on a modular type grid as we have varying layouts with each page.
The book is supposed to be design oriented so it feels really nice to have different layouts for different spreads as it breaks the monotonous look of the magazine.
My Review for the Creative Gaga
Creative Gaga is a great design oriented magazine as it focuses more on the artist’s work rather than introducing huge amount of text. Plus, they stand by their tag line “ Your Dose of Inspiration” as they provide inspiring stories about the artists alongside their work.
Gaga is like a breath of fresh air amongst this market full of Text ridden, monotonous magazines.
