Flipkart got amused about Chetan bhagat.

Flipkart recently conducted an yearly review on how India shopped online on flipkart, they analyzed almost 50 million Indian shoppers, giving an analytics and insights into what India read this year.

Based on Flipkart’s report in 2015 Bangalore has brought most number of books in flipkart and who else it could be other than India’s leading writer Chetan Bhagat for his book “Half Girlfriend” sold most number of books in India in 2015.

Flipkart also said that books continued to be a strong category for them in 2015. And few other Indian authors cemented their place in other categories such as fiction. Amish Tripathy’s “The scion of Ikshvaku” was the best selling book in Fiction category.

Following Bangalore are Mumbai and Delhi for the number of books sold in 2015 and Geronimo Stilton, Amish Tripathi, Ravinder Singha and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam followed as the top favorites after Chetan Bhagat in the number of books sold.

In International Author’s category James sold most copies for his book ‘ Fifty shades of Grey ‘ and followed by the all-time favourite ‘Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone’ by JK Rowling. ‘Mightier than the Sword’ by Jeffery Archer, ‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ by Jeff Kinney and ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho made up the top 5.
