Recycling — Target Segments

Ideally my target segment for the business of recycling initially is to focus on the Working women’s from the age of 25–40. Also another range of focus will be on aged people, probably above 50 as they would have the necessity of cleaning the house hence throwing down the house in a high amount.

Considering the fact that to focus initially on large potential segment, we classify the customers as below based on four different segmentation parameters.

Demographic Segmentation :

As we will be dealing from waste to e waste and other miscellaneous waste items men & women both will be under our shelf. As we will be the providing worth value to the customers for their products we doesn’t have to look for income level of our customers.

However here we have to filter the people by total no of internet users who have proper 3g connection & 2g connection as in two cases.

For E waste we define age level from 18–40 common in gender base as most willing people want to give out their products for any reasons like exchange, or dead or just to upgrade to new one. For other waste items it will be like between 25–40 in working women’s.

Geographical Segmentation :

As we will be starting out in our home town this will be completely based on urban are initially and even in further we will consider to focus on urban cities on first preference to scale up to a minimum extent.

Psycho graphic segmentation :

Most cases of waste recycling when we pick some waste products like paper, metals plastic materials that doesn’t matters them a lot and hence they just look for a good value, where we will try to provide the better value for their product. But when it comes to e waste people will look for upgrading to different gadgets based on their desire.

So this will be major key things on the psycho graphic segmentation part.

Behavioural Segmentation :

Monitoring the behavioural attitude of customers in on line through multiple channels will help to collect information and know the behaviour of the customers. By which we can be able to differentiate the customers based upon that.

For instance some people often likely to change or upgrade to latest gadgets in mobile phones, laptops & in more other electronic gadgets. With help of these information we can provide them the best value out of their expectation.

Persona 1 —I have one of my colleague worked with me in past, often tend to change his mobile phone, looking to buy new TV, home theatre or lap top any such kind of products which is because of his craziness towards electronic gadgets. So what he will do usually is that checking in olx or with some other people where he can give the existing product for the best price.

Here comes our role where we can identify such these people or a common persons and provide them a very good value for their product by the best possible extent.

Persona 2 — There is a another friend of mine who stays in a bachelor’s room and has lots of waste in his day to day activities like milk cover’s , newspapers etc,. The current procedure followed by him is throwing those waste then and there as per his convenience, but when i can provide a such kind of this service to his there is a possibility of making money of those throwing materials into garbage. Even with that small amount of money he can able to sort out his daily travelling expenses which can provide a good output in his monthly budget.
