After The Quake

When the doubts,
you have on the ground you stand on,
on what you call home,
subsides.. slowly but surely.

When you get used to
the tension beneath the surface
that’s pulling you apart,
mentally and physically.

And when you’ve endured
the wrath of fate
and of your choice,
the loss of your beloved
and of your voice.

When the chaos around you
settles to its core.
and the dust settles to the floor
You’ll see things clearer.
and It will all be better.
We’ll all be better

..until the next big quake.
