Interesting and difficult question. Personally I think that sometimes the consumers get so caught up in what they think the story should be that they feel the need to direct it some sort of way. I am all for the producers doing what they invisioned in the first place, especially when consumers can be apart of fan fiction and other more produser-like creations. If the producers are recieving some bad reviews from the majority of their audience then I might understand the producers feeling the need to cater to them.
