JKR always said that she has left many many things out, that the whole world is built in her head and in her notebooks and that someday she might publish the eighth book as an Encyclopedia Poterrica.

I actually like that she can go back to the decision of putting Ron and Hermione together and criticise it. (Also, to me, Hermione could never, ever be with Ron, maybe I’m a little biased).

Also there is guilt. She may experience guilt now that her success is literally enormous and her books haven’t addressed many of the equal rights issues of now.
