She ‘chose’ to get pregnant? Interesting choice of word. I don’t quite remember being asked “Would you like to conceive today, Stacey?” each time I’ve had sex (using my ‘1 in 100 women will still get pregnant’ birth control pill and my ‘2 in 100 women will still get pregnant’ condoms of course!). Anyway, since she ‘chose’ to become pregnant then she must pay the consequences, i.e. sacrifice her income. Uhhh! Thank goodness we have worldwide safe and legal access to abortion just for those who ‘choose’ a wage over a foetus, eh?! All because us women ‘absolutely have full rights’ to our bodies (including our uterus and anything that we ‘choose’ to put inside it!). After all, ‘it is entirely optional to have a child’, isn’t it?
