You are quite welcome! I will admit it can get confusing for me, as well, and I am smack dab in the middle of it! We like simple. This is why we adhere to stereotypes and try to reduce things to their basic components. Growing up deaf, I realized quickly I defied many people’s expectations, because they had concluded that all deaf people suffered from mental illness or low cognitive function.

What frightens me most is the assumption that trans and intersex are the same thing. As I transition, it is likely that I will have to face the same issues that trans people do — mostly because people do not understand us.
