A mirror

A rigid scratch upon a changing world

Greased fingerprints won’t fade

Unless I wipe them clean

But maybe the heat from my hands

Golden raindrops hot like earth’s blood

Will melt this image portrayed

Crushing grip now lighting the room

Haze orange red, traffic light hue

I’ll bend my world

To look the way I want it to

Change the only thing unchangeable

The rigid scratch upon my wall
