Unlike Reading Practice, Vowels & Consonants forces you to pay attention to particular sounds instead of entire words. But the motivation is still the same — get you to understand your own speech mechanism.
You should repeat whatever sound appears on screen. The pace should be dependent on the time allotted. If it’s ‘Slow’ then try to stretch the sounds as much so as to fill in the complete time. If it’s ‘Fast’ try to read the sounds within the allotted time frame. In doing this, remain cognizant of your speech mechanism. What exactly are you doing — is the voice coming from your throat, is your tongue touching the palate etc.
The Stamurai keeps working patiently & diligently. With persistence, the Stamurai understands how each sound differs at the physical level.
