You have stated that guns are rarely used successfully for self defense.
it has been well established that guns are used legally in successful self defense scenarios between 800,000 and 2,000,000 per year.
You also claim that most gun murders are committed by people who were perfectly legal and law abiding until they decided to murder someone.This goes against all crime stat research that shows that the greater majority of murderers , of any kind, have had multiple interactions with the judicial system and were not legally able to even own a gun.
It is also well established that gun crimes in general happen more in areas with the strictest gun control laws.
