…timately, there are no ‘rules’ for what makes a good VC, but there are a few patterns I’ve spotted. The best people on a VC team are extremely quick at ingesting vast amounts of information, prioritizing, forming opinions about that information, before making decisions on what is not always a full set of info. The best VCs I know are fantastically good at reading people, and most are magnificent conversationalists; asking the right questions, absorbing the correct information, and asking smart, sharp follow-up questions.
