The Equal Protection argument against “winner take all” in the Electoral College

In your third paragraph you refer to the Electoral College as “creating inequality”. Surely, as a law professor, you understand the aim of the Electoral College is to create greater equality between high density populations areas and less densly populated areas. I know it flies in the face of the popular vote but it has served the country since it’s inception by ensuring the interests of various voting blocks is more fairly represented than is accomplished by the popular vote where high concentrations of people in cities like New York and LA would carry the election for big city interests only.
