Earning Crypto with StormX Staking
Momentum is building at StormX. From the incredible community over on Discord, several new stores added on a continuous basis, and a debit card on the way at the end of the year, there is also a feature in the StormX eco-system that you can take advantage of today and that is with crypto staking.
A Non-Custodial Alternative
While there are many other tokens out there that offer staking, many of them tend to lean on the custodial side. That is, you entrust that the platform is secure, willing to accept lock-up periods and — during these uncertain times — remains solvent. Understandably, for many these are all major factors to consider when deciding to stake on a centralised exchange.
Fortunately, StormX allows you to take full custody of your tokens while you stake them, either on a software wallet such as Metamask, Coinbase Wallet or using a hardware wallet with a Ledger device.

Stake Your STMX Tokens for 6.5% APR
If you already own STMX tokens, you can stake directly on the StormX platform by heading over to the Staking section of the app on your phone or using the browser extension.
Select Stake from the navigation panel within the app. You can connect from your phone using several software wallets: Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and Metamask Mobile.
If you decide to stake on a centralised exchange, the team over at StormX has provided a helpful guide which enables you to stake while your coins are still on KuCoin.
Choose Your Staking Amount
With the StormX App interface, you can choose how many tokens you would like to stake. The staking rewards are distributed weekly, with the staking cycle beginning each Monday. You will receive your staking reward after you complete one cycle, which ends every Sunday.

Estimate Your Staking Yield
If you’re not sure how many tokens you will receive after a staking cycle is complete, there is a very handy calculator on the staking page. Enter the amount of tokens you are considering to stake, and the app will return a forecast of estimated earnings on a weekly, monthly, six month and one year range.
Cha-ching!
When your staking cycle is complete, and you’re using the StormX mobile app, you will receive a push notification that your rewards have been sent to your StormX account. You can then choose the token you would like to receive.
