Meet the Founders building a social food marketplace connecting foodies and chefs

Today’s Startup Founders of the Day are Olamide, Isaac and Yashim

Olamide Giwa

Olamide Giwa has always loved business but hated the traditional 9–5. This is what motivated him to get into tech in the first place. His roles as a product designer and product manger over the years have taught him the essence of technology and how to use it to solve various problems, particularly in his native Nigeria.

Isaac Akinduyile comes from a technical background, having been a programmer for several years prior to working on Cuisn. As a result, he has come to know the important role technology plays in advancement. He is excited to once again leverage the power of technology to advance the food industry.

Yashim Victor G. has always been a sucker for growth and innovation. That is why he became a growth marketer. He is always looking out for trends that might increase visibility and sales for each startup. When he is not doing these activities, you can catch him watching a movie or thinking about the work he has for the next day.

About Cuisn

Cuisn is a food-based social interaction platform that connects chefs and food lovers, combined with a meal ordering service that lets you experience food in a whole different way.

For foodies, it helps them discover quality high-end chefs and meals, amazing food content, recipes and more. For chefs, it helps them establish and grow a self-owned thriving business around their passion for food. By creating this connection, it enables both chefs and food lovers to have access to more options in their relationships with food.

Food distribution is a problem facing many modern societies. In Nigeria and other African countries, poor diet is still a large problem. The chefs required to close the gap have a hard time setting up due to high operational cost. As a result, they typically work for the large restaurants.

Cuisn is building the social food marketplace that empowers chefs and food lovers by providing access to all-things food: meal orders, recipes, tips and more. Cuisn is not just trying to close the relationship gap between chefs and foodies, they are here to promote Nigerian’s cultural dishes and put them on the international food map.
