In 2019, let’s connect the whole Estonia for Startup Week Tallinn!
Estonians are often called a tech nation but truth to be told, our startup ecosystem is built by every kind of talent available. Some of our most successful founders grew up in the countryside and for the next generation of future founders, coding is just another subject in primary school.
Startup Week Tallinn 2019 is your one-stop shop to the most vibrant startup ecosystem. On 11–15 November, we celebrate the ever-growing talent pool with #SWT2019 — a community-driven festival that brings together startups and individuals, entrepreneurs and investors, community organisations and others doing amazing things in the world of startups and innovation.
Application round to host your event during Startup Week Tallinn 2019 starts today so submit your idea already now! If not today, then we keep the registration link open until 15 August.
This year, we give the spotlight to four buzzing topics that represent the recent trends and interest areas:
- Generation Green —the future is built on sustainability! This track brings together the green revolution in the startup world and beyond. We expect not only green tech startups to gather but feature everyone with a sustainable goal in mind. Whether you are working in the field of a circular economy, clean tech, green or blue tech or other similar fields, join our ranks of generation green.
- Future Founders — the track is focusing on events aimed to educate and empower our next generation and discuss innovation, trends in education sector. The events listed on this track can include hackathons/pitching events for children/youth, various EdTech events, and workshops/trainings for children/youth.
- Tech Almighty — from techies to techies! This track is focused on the skills that are necessary for most startups. The events organised under this track can be CTO and dev talks, masterclasses and workshops of cybersecurity, IoT, fintech, and beyond. We give the floor to technical talents to share their skills.
- Community Connections — meetups, meetups, meetups! Of course, every festival needs some time for networking and dare we say, it is the secret glue that brings Estonian startup community together. Let’s keep this up by organising networking nights, fireside chats, and after hour sessions.
Next to that, we want to see that our community is connected both in Tallinn and beyond. For this, we introduce Startup Week Satellites — events organised outside Tallinn. Regional events, where are you!?
“Techstars Startup Week is a true celebration of entrepreneurship. It’s a collaborative initiative and it creates an environment where people who don’t usually work closely, can meet and form long lasting connections. At Techstars, we see Startup Week as a powerful tool for catalyzing an entrepreneurial community or bridging the gaps between the best initiatives in more mature ecosystems,” said Andra Nuta, Regional Manager at Techstars.
Our core team of this year’s organisers stays the same — Liisi Org, Triin Ilves, Sander Sillavee are on board to curate you the best program for the week-long festival. But we definitely need your help, so submit your event idea already today!
