How to Create a Bulletproof Mindset
Todd Brison

Thanks for that canyon graphic! I find myself often in that exact position — starting something new with a bang! only to then fall out of love with the project because it’s too hard or takes too much time. But I think that’s part of the process — finding what sticks and becomes fulfilling. Last fall my project involved joining a band as a percussionist (I hadn’t played since middle school), and I discovered it was much harder to keep a beat than I thought. But I stayed committed through our first/only gig, and had a lot of fun playing, even if I wasn’t as good as the other musicians. I probably won’t continue, because I’m not willing to devote time to practicing on my own. Now that it’s a new year, I have a new project in mind, and we’ll see how that goes.
