OK, another Falcons season has come and gone, and like all the previous ones, there’s no championship trophy on the mantel. I thought I’d use this opportunity to reflect on the season and provide my own opinions about what happened. It was a decent season, but not a great one. 2016 set the bar high and this year proved to be a bit of a let-down. It just never seemed we had the “it” factor to be a serious contender. Super Bowl LI still haunts me.
It’s been a day and a half since I watched my Atlanta Falcons build a 25 point lead in Super Bowl LI, only to see it all slip away. The pain is still present, and I’m not sure when it will go away. When I wake up during the night, I think about plays not made, calls that went the wrong way, decisions that should’ve been changed.
