More than 18 million Sassa Grants are paid to beneficiaries in South Africa every month and all Types Of Sassa Grant Increase in October 2023. These Sassa Grant beneficiaries, in 2023, received two increases — one in April and another in October.

Unfortunately, people, the Minister of Finance did not announce that the Social Relief of Distress Grant will be getting any increases but many have called for it. It currently stands at R350. But many have called for them to increase the grant to above the food poverty line.

Sassa Grant Increase 2023/2024

He also revealed that spending on Sassa Child Support Grants and old age grants received the bulk of government spending. The amount spent on Sassa grants will increase from R233 billion to R248.4 billion due to the increase in the number of beneficiaries and the value of the grants.

Old Age grant

In April, the Sassa Old Age Grant increased by R90, making it R2080 every month; now, in October, it will increase again by R10, making it R2090 per month.

War Veterans Grant

The War Veterans Grant increased by R90 in April which brought it to R2100 and an increase in October of R10, which will then bring it to R2110.

Disability grant

The disability grant is now R2080 after an R90 increase in April. Then in October, it will be R2090 after a further R10 increase.

Foster Child Grant

In April, the Foster Child Grant was increased by R50 to R1120 and in October it will rise by R10 to an amount of R1130.
