ode to monday
Aug 24, 2017 · 1 min read
Monday, your reputation has been tainted by back-to-work blues
Friday gets all the hype and none of the blame like you
If the seven days changed their names,
Then yours would be a curse word
Because it’s the first swear spat when the morning is sour
Though somehow, you have not grown bitter
In fact, you go out of your way
To keep your head down in the summer and during holidays
No one looks forward to seeing you
And your ego is bruised
But, the truth, dear Monday,
Is that you’re a new oppertunity
The first day of a new week
You’re anew beginning
You’re an “it’ll be okay”
