The Navy’s Improved Littoral Combat Ship Is Hardly Better Than Before
War Is Boring

All hail the venerable Oliver Hazard Perry Class. Still in service around the globe in half a dozen Navies — several of which are reweaponing and upgrading them. Proven tough in several engagements (e.g. USS Stark two Harpoon hits couldt sink it). LCS otoh is yet another example of how messed up “acquisitions” have become the norm in DoD. Can they get even one large procurement right? What a joke. Our enemies don’t need to build better weapons than us — they just need to keep occasionally rattling our cage so that we spend ourselves into insolvency buyng some new MilIndCom invented urgent need.
