A long weekend in Paris
Sometimes a whole new era opens, just by going somewhere. though in reality nothing changed to the situation, to your life or the moment. The only thing that happened, is new angle, a different point of view that was added. That angle often being so beautiful called “Perspective”.

Stop number 1, Baie de Somme. I decided to drive without a plan without any map, without any sense of time. and that brought me to the Nord of France. And there is beauty to be found, in it’s nature, in it’s landscape. in the fresh air stroking your skin.
And as from the first picture I took, I knew. I feel good. This is a discovery, rediscovery of what matters.
The luxury of finally driving more then 1000 km gives you some freedom, freedom to think about everything, everywhere and anything. For me that is, and was a blessing on this road trip. The second point which made this trip what it was, is the fact that I got up really early, and was on the road with the first light; making the most of every second of light. So when at Baie de Somme, I was bright awake whilst most where still vast asleep. Though being to cold for my liking I decided the drive land inworths, as wherever I will go, there is an Ibis Hotel that will cater for me! (Yes I was one of these extremely Lucky people to receive some free stays, thank you @ibis hotels)
So the saga continued, with a further discovery of France and with new places, and hidden villages. First idea, maybe I should go to Amiens, so I set my way to Amiens, though once arrived in the city, I quickly discovered it would be better to drive on, and look for something else. Why? because I didn’t feel it. so i set way again…
And in that way you discover a small village, with huge Army Barracks from the the time of the French-German wars and before. Here I was impressed enough to have a quick stop in the local bar and sin with a Coca Cola.

Here I had the Opportunity to stretch my legs, and realise It was about time to get on my Bike and have fun!! So I decided to drive on till I found the place that would give me just that! (Being honest, by now Ihad a good idea where to go…Paris was the stop at night)
So i drove on to the champagne region, Epernay! where i had fun, loosing myself, loosing time, weights and most of all loosing sorrows.
TBC…
