The preservation of ancient aspects of folk clothing is unique to Moldova’s region. The archaic shape of the port has been preserved to a greater extent than other historical areas.

Traditional shirt, skirt, catrință, belt, bârneață, chest or bundiță, opinci, flowery scarf, purse, and jewelry made up the Moldovan women’s folk costume, which had a cohesive structure.

Moldovan Ia is wrinkled, with embroidery adorning the chest and sleeves. On the chest and back, simple ornamentation in the form of vertical strings are common. White, red, green, and black are among the colors used.

Solar motifs are quite popular, especially in the breastfeeding community. Thus, a flower written in a circle with seven or ten petals, surrounded by green twigs, reminiscent of the tree of life emblem, is used as lipstick. Other features that decorate the edges of the chests include the bud, the pansy, and various foliage.Moldovans are also known for their floral buns. Accessorize with floral-themed earrings, beads, rings, and ribbons.

The men’s folk costume is more austere, consisting of a shirt or shirt with a skirt (a knee-length shirt, primarily worn by the elderly), small black or red decorations, wrinkled heels on the leg, tightened with a string, and belts (belt, beam or belts).

The long or short suman is popular throughout the winter season. Slanted legs and a narrow or wide collar characterize it. Black and brown tones predominate. The shoes, bag, and bun are all simple and look like they belong on a woman.
