When I was 25 years old, I summited Mount Everest. Standing on the world’s rooftop, I saw my whole life flash before me. There and then was the culmination of the three years of training and three months of hiking in Nepal. Despite frigid wind and frozen fingers, I never felt more alive. I descended from the peak humbled and transformed with a calling to be a photographer.
