And I would like to add a twist: I don’t think that any emotion is useless as such. All emotions carry information, eg. about issues that need to be addressed, some areas where extra care must be taken. The problem is not the emotion itself, but GETTING STUCK in an emotion. Not processing it in a useful manner.

And your article is great on how to get unstuck. However, you might want to add a sixth point that is more a TURNING TOWARDS than a TURNING AWAY FROM worry: Think about what it is trying to tell you! What areas need to be looked at? What risks need to be managed? Are there actions to mitigate the risk?

Still, it might help to first get some rest (or excercise), and then turn towards. So you can turn towards worry with a clear sense of reality.
