Ode to My Mummie Dagmar

I hope you know how special you are

To this little ol’ dog’s heart,

He waits by the door for you and your car

Never wanting to be kept apart.

His eyes they are amber and oh so bright

His heart is filled with such sweet delight;

Because of your kindness he smiles in the night

His love is for you and your sweet loving light.

Without you he surely would not be here

To tell us his special life story,

He wishes for you to always be near

Your presence is of course mandatory!

A big part of you lives inside this sweet dog

Because he is a part of you too,

His life is much more than any ol’ epilogue

And all of his love will accrue!

So keep in your heart dear Mummie Dagmar

The look on his face when you saw him today

Because like his heart it’ll never go far

And he’ll never go far away.
