Morning Ritual
July 16, 2014Sometimes, the first thing I do when I wake up is cry. It’s not intentional, the tears just fall. Sometimes it’s a silent, weary cry. Sometimes it’s a sob - Muted by the sound of my fan, Concealed by my door that is always sealed shut. I lay in bed, staring into space as the tears slip down my cheeks and wet my pillow.
