Marianas Trench Concert

This is so long overdue, but life happens, okay? Anyway …. On November 25, my sister and I finally attended a Marianas Trench concert after waiting 4 long years.
We first saw them live for the first time when we attended Bamboozle in 2012, and instantly fell in love! I remember that night we came home, searching them on iTunes and YouTube and eventually buying two of their albums. We raved about them to everyone we saw, telling them we had ‘discovered’ a band from Canada with amazing music.
Their concert exceeded my expectations, which I fully expected. It was at a small venue, which is always so personal, in Montclair New Jersey. Me and my sister had seats right behind the general admission section and they were incredible seats, thanks to myself :). The small venue set for an intimate evening between the band and their fans.
The setlist, a mix of old and new songs, had all the songs my sister and I loved. I haven’t listened to much of their new album but as I watched them perform, I fell in love, just like I did when I saw the band all those years ago at Bamboozle.
Josh Ramsay, the band’s lead vocalist, put on an amazing show, especially when he took off his shirt! His energy and love for his music was shown so passionately through his actions which helped keep the audience entertained which in the end made for an amazing time and show.

He had the audience engaged in everything he did. In between songs, Josh made sure to have a short and sweet conversation with the audience, telling stories of what him and his bandmates did while on the road and saying how great it is to be in Montclair, which everyone was thrilled about.
Overall my experience at this concert was great and I definitely felt some post concert sadness.
