REALITY

I woke up to pills
Truth is the poison they refused to feed us with
For fear that we may die
But the gun they loaded with bullets holding the trigger
They forget is another way to die.
They taught us to trust that way
Forcing it down our throats
And we end up shaking ourselves into the sack.
For every discomfort, we smiled and disguised it for comfort.
That’s the way,
That’s life.
Life is not smooth
It kicks you to start, doesn’t gently rub your back
Life says nice things to your face and gets you up against a wall
Throws stones at you
Shout down every thought to figure your way out
But still you must.
Life is like the density of a ship
Crisp at the bottom and fanciful on the outside.
Life is a bunch of roses
Choose good or evil, simple!
And you are stuck.
