The 38th edition of the Young Architects Forum, co-hosted by STELSI and Young Architects Forum Korea, recently concluded in Seoul, offering attendees a comprehensive overview of the evolving architectural landscape in the digital age. Under the theme “Beyond Realism: Architectural Odyssey in the Metaverse Era,” the forum provided a platform for thought-provoking discussions and presentations on the transformative potential of emerging technologies and virtual environments in architecture.

Diverse Perspectives Illuminate the Path Forward

The forum featured a diverse array of speakers, each bringing unique perspectives and insights to the table. Ryan Sang-hoon Shim, CEO of STELSI, emphasized the concept of “Architecture Revival: Decentralized Space,” advocating for a decentralized approach to spatial design within the metaverse. Minho Yoo, Chief Strategy Officer and co-founder of IoTrust, explored “How Web3 Will Transform Architecture,” highlighting the disruptive potential of blockchain technology.

Louie Kyunghoon KIM, Chief Creative Officer at jpa. JUNGLIM, delved into the “Role of Space Brander,” emphasizing the importance of architectural identity and branding. Jeff Junghwan Kim and Philip Yang, Co-Founders of Weple Ent., discussed “We’re About the Arthist,” stressing the significance of artistic expression in virtual environments.

As the event concluded, Hosung Chun, Creative Director of STELSI, shared his vision for the future, highlighting new possibilities for art in digital environments. He introduced an international architectural design competition hosted by Weple, designed to ignite the proliferation of NFT galleries. By positioning Weple as a central node within the cultural tapestry of the metaverse, Chun aimed to catalyze innovation and creativity in the field, fostering a vibrant ecosystem of artistic expression.

AI Generative Architecture Design Contest : STELSI Showdown 003 Winner Announcement

STELSI expresses gratitude for the continuous support in the past year. The project focuses on integrating blockchain technology to enhance transparency in architecture, empowering consumers to assess value. Addressing challenges in traditional construction-consumer accessibility, STELSI aims to ease consumer difficulty in evaluating construction value. The goal is to establish a platform for transparent, healthy choices in high-quality construction, facilitated by blockchain integration. In 2023, notable milestones were achieved with support.

About STELSI

STELSI is a Web3-based metaverse project developed based on blockchain technology for construction and real estate industries, such as architectural planning and design, construction, and building management. The first island of the STELSI Project, “hola!”, is planned by a group of experts with unique expertise and know-how in each field, considering community, usage, balance, skyline, and density.

The STELSI project provides a high-quality metaverse space with high rarity and experiential value, where communication between users and architectural experts is achieved based on Unreal Engine.

The ultimate goal of the STELSI is to create a new business area for the metaverse industry through an expanded worldview and community and to make a lifestyle platform that can transcend the experience of a space with strengths in software and content.
