AI (in fact pattern recognition) will only be as good as the Data that you will feed it. People will become more familiar with this, and start protecting their Data better (a new protection industry). You see already other type of browsers getting popular, like Brave browser, that protect your Data, and also you see decentralization services in the making that protect other type of Data, including your identity. You cannot fully stop the sharing of Data, but I am 100% sure there will be many protection services to control it. Besides this, I am not yet convinced that AI is clever and adaptable enough to become more general intelligent. Many algorithms are trained with a certain data set and for a specific task, and once you feed it other type of Data, it will not know what to do. So yeah, there will be task-specific algorithms, and soms will help us, and we might get depended on it, but it will not be dangerous (not more than other tech addictions). I wish we had more “intelligence” in AI, as humans are not clever enough to prevent climate change, or create a better (less destructive) economic system.
