Childfree Is A Legitimate Choice
The Nib

Another great social observation from The Nib. I feel this is one of the last social taboos and one I relate to as a woman who has known from a young age that I’d have a very happy childfree life. Luckily my family and my boyfriend’s family are very accepting of our decision to selfishly reject our only purpose on this earth ;) .

I’ve had colleagues who have been visibly shocked when I’ve told them this — literally not understanding how it’s possible for a woman to not want children. I almost enjoy the sport of them asking the inevitable ‘how old are you’ question, followed by the condescending ‘ah’ and a nod when I reply ‘31’. To which I follow with a ‘and no, I won’t change my mind thank you’.

Bring on the cats.
