Writing a new story for humanity

Humanity is at a major crossroad. As the population of the planet keeps increasing and we, as a species, have not committed to care for each other and our home, planet earth, our social and environmental problems are just getting bigger. This will will only get worse as the population of earth will increase from 7.6 billions to almost 10 billions in the next 30 years. In business, we also see a lot of human challenges as many senior executives will often sacrifice the well being of their employees to meet the numbers expected by investors. If often feels like investors are the only stakeholders that matters.

The consciousness of any organization or country is directly related to the level of consciousness of the most senior leaders. The best way for leaders to increase consciousness is to make the shift from I to WE. To realize that leadership is not about using other people to fulfill your needs but about using your talents and resources to serve the needs of others, including all stakeholders. That Conscious Leadership is the only leadership paradigm that will allow organizations to thrive in the new economy.

Consciousness is emerging everywhere even if they don’t talk about it on TV. Sages and poets have not really disappeared, quite the contrary, they have multiplied. The lies of some of the people in power are so gross that we should be grateful to them. They are helping us to recognize the truth that will set us free at last. Whoever is in love with life , sensitive to its beauty and the enchantement of its music can use the inner fire to promote new initiatives directed to the well-being of the whole. — Giuliana Conforto, Quantum Physicist

In the last few years, I have found a lot of inspiration for my conscious leadership initiatives in quantum physics as it has explained scientifically what old wisdom traditions have know for centuries, that we are all connected through a quantum field and that separation is an illusion invented by mankind. Many people create this separation to protect themselves but in fact it only leads to suffering.

For fragmentation is now very widespread, not only throughout society, but also in each of individual, and this is leading to a kind of general confusion of the mind, which creates an endless series of problems and interferes with our clarity of perception so seriously as to prevent us from being able to solve most of them… The notion that all these fragments are separately existent is evidently an illusion, and this illusion cannot do other than lead to endless conflict and confusion. David Bohm, Quantum Physicist

We need to write a new story for humanity based on collaboration instead of competition. We need to let go of the old program that we have inherited from our parental and societal programming which is based on scarcity instead abundance that tells us we have to compete with others to fulfill our needs.

We already know there are enough resources on our planet to fulfill the needs of all of humans, if we make a conscious choice to care for one another and share. The main problem we have is that there are many of us who have made another choice, the choice to maximize their piece of the pie, irrespective of the impact on others. As if having endless material possessions will make them happy. After all, we all know that we do not take any of these with us when we die. We only take with us what is in our heart.

It is so beautiful to see young your kids who have not started school yet. Their eyes sparkle with amazement as they discover the world and they are constantly in play mode. You can see children from different gender and nationalities playing together as they have not learned yet that they need to hate each other.

Unfortunately, everything starts to change with these same children when they start school as they start to be programmed by our education system which is perfectly designed to grow other humans just like us and get them ready to enter the world of competition that we have designed for them. They work hard to get good grades so they can get recognized by their teachers and loved by their parents. Some learn that it’s a dog eat dog world out there and that if they don’t fight to be the best, they will not progress, will not get the rewards and will not be happy.

Most of us have gone through this. We follow the traditional path that has been traced for us. We go to university, we get a degree after several years of hard work and then we enter the world of work where we find out that we will apply very few of the learnings from our degree. But one thing is sure is that we have learned to compete and achieve.

We work hard, achieve and move up the ladder. Get bigger jobs, more rewards and then at 40 something we realize that we are not truly happy. That something is missing in our life. That we need more meaning and purpose. We also realize that humanity is in a mode of self destruction. That we will not make it as a species unless we can transform ourselves individually and as a collective group.

What if this intensive focus on competition is the wrong path? What if this focus on always achieving more for us individually is the wrong recipe? What if we inspired ourselves form the natural world where cooperation is the way to go to not only survive but also thrive?

Do you know that all trees in a forest are connected by an underground network through their roots by which they share nutrients. You would not expert a tree to compete with another tree for sun. We can also observe many other species collaborating in the natural world to ensure the survival of their species.

As I have embraced my purpose to bringing Conscious Leadership into business, I am constantly amazed at the willingness of so many people around the world involved in the same field to collaborate with me to elevate the consciousness in the business world and in all other organizations.

This is such a contrast to some of my previous colleagues in the large organizations where I used to work where it was clearly an environment of intense competition, even between colleagues working on the same team.

I believe it is time for all humans to adopt a new paradigm based on collaboration with a focus on the WE and not the I.

The challenges we are facing as human species are very big and we can only overcome them if we collaborate as one team.

All the different separations invented by men such as nationalities, race and religion are an illusion. There is only one race: the human race. We are all on the same team and we will only survive and thrive if we can learn to work together.

It is time for all of us to raise our consciousness and be aware of what are the impacts of our actions on other humans and other sentient beings.

There is growing awareness that well-being is either for everyone or for no one. The mechanistic paradigm, which has lacerated the world, is failing, and the organic one, which is peace, joy, harmony and good of all is rising. A new culture is emerging focused on being and not just on having. The new organic culture will be the fabric of a just and wise society, full of freedom and respect. This is the dawn of a New World, able to recognize and satisfy any individual’s real needs, solve the many social problems in a simple way so as to guarantee the prosperity, well-being, joy, dignity true justice and social harmony for everyone. And the dawn can only come after the sunset, the fall of the Old World. — Giuliana Conforto, Quantum Physicist
