We spent months bracing and preparing for the death of our daughter.

Thank you for being so brave and strong to share this story. Your decision to donate Eva’s organs and your ability to boldly share your story will only save more and more lives.

Your story also struck a chord in me for a few reasons:

1) I’m 18 weeks pregnant and just had my ultrasound

2) The only reason I’m pregnant with my third pregnancy is because my youngest son died in an accident 2 years ago when he was 4. He was able to donate his liver, two kidneys and his heart.

I too think about the day I hopefully can meet the recipients, and I’m most excited about hearing his heart beat in another. That, and this new life in me, are helping with my grief journey. I wish you the best in yours.
