IA#9 Deriving Meaning

A picture can hold different meanings for the different people. So, here is what these 3 images mean to me:

This image is so powerful to me because it shows a mother’s unconditional love for her child. The mother’s posture shows how much she wants to protect the child. Lastly, the duyan represents the barriers that protects the child from reality and the strings of the duyan represent how above the child is from reality where only the mother can reach him/her.

This image depicts the hardships and struggles of life and day to day reality. It shows that inside this box is where these children feel safe even if it is a small box. The box also represent the walls in which we can’t see what’s happening inside the box. Another representation of the box is the inner struggles of these children that we can’t see from the outside.

This is one image that is a bit difficult to put meaning to mainly because it’s all over the place. But, maybe that’s what they want us to see. Maybe this image shows that there are so many projects that have been planned by the government to better our country but not a lot of it has been put into fruition. Lastly, MAYBE the title “GANAP” which is synonymous to the word completely is what that image is showing us.
