Well said! I debate this with my husband.. I don’t like the confederate flag and will not display it in my home. I don’t think it should be displayed in government buildings either, only current state and national flags should be displayed there in my opinion. However, no matter what negative feeling I get when I see this flag, I don’t believe in taking an individual’s right to fly it. I truly don’t think people should, and I see them in a somewhat (at least) negative light when they do.. but I don’t believe the government should tell them they can’t have it. I believe the government gets a bit too involved in certain things these days. If someone wants to display this flag at their own homes, then it should be their right even if it is truly distasteful..
