My Love For Music

In my eyes, music has healing powers. The magical journey 3 minutes and 30 seconds can take you on is staggering. The perfect concoction of brilliantly tuned instruments made with the very basic elements can take every fibre of your being from the present to any point in time, location, from any emotion to the next. I found the love of music when I was about 10 years old. My dad always played his old records and instantly I fell in love. I don’t have a “song that changed my life” that I can recall, however, what I can recall is the feeling I had. The beach boys were the first band I loved dearly. Then, of course, The Beatles. As I learned about the history of these bands, my fascination expanded.

I LOVE ROCK AND ROLL

For as long as I can remember, music has been the only topic which has completely captured all of my attention. In grade school nothing really interested me. I had a clear issue with math. It was obvious because I cried every time I had to do it. Science was whatever and PE was just an opportunity to express my ADHD freely. Music class was even boring to me as I found it very academically based and it mostly focused on theory. I wanted to know more about the HISTORY of ROCK AND ROLL.
