Don’t Give Me No Lip

Lips that parch, lips that lust
punched with force, then they bust.
Lips with passion, lips with rage
Lipstick smears cover his page.

Lips formed for words intentional,

painting that you’ve maxed potential.
Outline words, sometimes never uttered.
Excessive compliments, you’ve been buttered.

Lips that kiss the places that hurt

to raise their score? That’s absurd!
Lips that lie, biting tells;
mouth’s corner starts to swell.

Lips with purpose to convince,

“It is I, your long-lost prince.”
Royalty could never be so perverse
more disbelief, conversely gets worse.

“Beautiful, you’re such a catch.”

His body language does not match.
A common phrase he’s used before.
Your desperate lips kiss even more.

His eyes don’t see you when he looks your way;

you’re yet another he’ll soon betray.
How’s it feel to be a pair of lips?
The meaningless, you forever sip.
