Green

The only word that comes to mind.

Not radiant or breathtaking or life changing.

Not even lively, lush, or lavish would be more appropriate.

The fields of the countryside, the surface of the mountains, the border of the flowing water: all green.

Overwhelming and ominous, Ireland is green — it bleeds green, breathes green, exhales green, exists in green.

It’s contagious and it didn’t take me long to catch it.

Addicted to the plants and vines and accent, especially when my home country is addicted to a different kind of green.

This one doesn’t declare war, famine, and hate.

This one instills hope and generosity — no hesitation and no bounds: just green.
