Ha! Ok I’m reading backwards so half of my questions were answered. I 100000% support the decision to move to a place where you can find some relief. That’s what this is. You ARE living it out there. But you can give yourself a break and allow yourself some creature comforts that you are accustomed to. The economic divide is something you’ll never wrap your head around. It’s inconceivable. In that way, I felt exactly the same when I paid a little more for fried rice. Every once in a while though just tell someone you’ll pay an insanely low amount and no more. The more it’s accepted the better you’re getting at it.

One idea I forgot to mention is that the manis and pedis are cheap! Even the $6 ones. And usually air conditioned. It’s also a nice break in the day if you can duck in for some $6 relief.
