Very good points about celebrity endorsements. The point I was making was more in the way the DJ Khaled talked about Bumble in his Snapchat story. It was practically a product demo. The question is if the average consumer perceives what they’re viewing is an ad or not. Which is why ads on Facebook, Google, Twitter, etc., all have to be labelled as “Sponsored” or “Ad.” Let’s say if Google didn’t have to label their AdWords ads. If you went to do a Google search, and the first result seemed to be the best choice for you but really turned out to be an advertisement with no valuable information, wouldn’t you become slightly annoyed?
