Compare this to your torque wrench earlier… you described that as the simplest AI case, and you were right. This trap case is complicated because the trap might trap any number of people… it might not even be set up to trap humans, but it just happened to get one. That means the trap is somewhat an AI because it has its own trigger condition, so we already have some basis for the broader AI discussion. “If I dig a pit and cover it with branches, am I responsible when you fall into it?”
