Nothing To Be Done

Stunning. And not for the first time. I was moved to post the following on several professional channels and a personal one …. Waiting for Godot in the form of a new ‘design culture’ centred around values. Joe Edelman’s article makes something utterly uncommon. Sense. It builds on Deirdre McCloskey’s work on why her own profession (economics) fails to explain the world and how ideas enriched humankind. History, philosophy and science teach us so much more. Edelman is a rare example of combining sophistication, uncommon sense, and a pragmatic empathy for his own species expressed as an unrelenting appetite for our greatest challenge. His questions contain the seeds of revolutionary solutions. He is, by some distance, the most important blogger I’ve read.
