Nigerians React After Shatta Wale Declares Himself An Afrobeat Artiste Ready To Take Over The World.
Shatta Wale, a Ghanaian dancehall artiste born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, has handed Nigerians the upper hand after deciding to be referred to be an afrobeat musician and therefore expressing gratitude to the green land vocalists.
Shatta Wale said yesterday that because Ghana lacks the genre identity needed to compete in the worldwide market, he has decided to join the Nigerians.
He highlighted that since identifying as an Afrobeat musician will help him acquire the cash, he should join them rather than rely on Ghanaian musicians who lack an identity to market the country.
He revealed this on Snapchat after Spotify named him the face of an Afrobeat playlist on the platform.
