Very good points, Stephen.
Patrick Daniel

I’m really glad you decided to share it — along with some of your other thoughts on various political thinkers. I hope you didn’t take my suggestions on interpretations to be criticisms — just things to consider.

One other thing to consider is the role that human creativity or ingenuity plays in the good life. Very often this is an overlooked aspect of Aristotle’s conception of the good life but one that’s worth considering — what role do the arts (this being inclusive of the fine and technical arts) in the excellence of human life? I find this to always be salient, especially in our contemporary world, where innovation so frequently lies between the intersection of the fine and technical arts. Too often we take innovation as a good thing without asking what role it plays in human being living an excellent life. It’s certainly something for us to consider.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
