I have no idea regarding whether she tried to mute or block. I would not know if one did whether that would stop the attack. I agree that Twitter should be more forceful. What I find odd is that there was no reference to muting or blocking in the account which consisted of attack after attack. I guess it is pointless to pursue the issue as Twitter seems fixed in what may be a gratuitous effort to protect speech and, as I say, we cannot know whether the writer had any alternative.
